D2 Gets Win With MIPS For VoIP Software

Santa Barbara-based D2 Technologies has scored a win with MIPS Technologies to develop Voice over IP technology for the embedded RISC processor maker. D2 has signed a development agreement to implement VoIP algorithms for the MIPS32 24KE cores. IPS said that the agreement allows it to build significantly on its existing VoIP software ecosystem. MIPS cores provide DSP and other functions. D2 provides complete Voice over IP software solutions for RISC-based systems on a chip. The target markets for the software are residential voice gateways, IP/Ethernet/WiFi phones and other VoIP enabled products.
