San Diego-based D3 Technologies, a design and engineering services firm for the aerospace industry, has been acquired. St. Louis-based LMI Aerospace said it acquired the firm for $65M in cash. D3 had revenues in 2006 of $64M. D3 provides structure and sub-structure design work for commercial, business, and military aircraft manufacturers. The company has offices in San Diego, Seattle, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Greenville, South Carolina. D3 was advised by Jeffries Quarterdeck in the deal, and LMI was advised by Wachovia Securities.
