    D2 Technologies Upgrades VoIP Software

Santa Barbara-based D2 Technologies, which develops embedded software for the voice-over-IP market, said this week at CES that it has upgraded the firm's flagship vPort product line. The firm said the 2.0 version of its software, which is used by OEMs and service providers to develop voice communications products, has added new support for video calls, high definition audio, Windows CE/Mobile, and remote security management. The firm is targeting development of femtocells, mobile internet devices, and handsets with the software. D2's software is used by OEMs to implement key VoIP features, on top of operating systems like WinCE/WinMobile, VxWorks, Linux, and Google Android, running on a wide range of processors.
