DevZuz Raises $9.25M From Mission, Redpoint

Marina Del Rey-based open source firm DevZuz has scored $9.25M in venture capital funding from Mission Ventures and Redpoint, the firm said Monday morning. The new firm was formerly Simula Labs, which was previously focused on venture funding of open source projects. DevZuz said it is selling its interest, including technology, intellectual property and customers, in LogicBlaze, Inc. to IONA Technologies as part of the funding and transition. DevZuz will focus on tooling, libraries, and a community-based portal for serving open source projects.
