Digital Domain Launches VR Series, Monkey King

Playa Vista-based visual effects developer Digital Domain announced today that it has launched its first, cinematic virtual reality series, called "Monkey King", based upon the Chinese mythology character of the same name. According to Digital Domain, the new series is available on Sony Playstation VR, and brings the story of the Chinese character to life in an immersive experience. The company said it will be releasing the first three chapters of its title today on the PlayStation Network for $9.99, and plans to eventually release the title on Oculus, HTC Vive, Google Daydream, Steam and Google Cardboard later this year.
