DIRECTV Jumps On MySpace Bandwagon With TV Show

El Segundo-based DIRECTV has jumped on the MySpace bandwagon, saying that the satellite television provider will launch an original series based on MySpace. The company said that its new series Project MyWorld will follow three friends who will travel the world to visit the real people who have become their MySpace friends. The show will focus on three women, one looking for independent bands; another for adventure travel; and the other one for an Internet date.
