Disney Buys Tapulous

Burbank-based Walt Disney Company said Thursday afternoon that it has acquired Tapulous, a Silicon Valley maker of music games for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Disney said that Tapulous will become a wholly owned subsidiary, reporting into Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG). Disney also said it will add Tapulous founders Bart Decrem and Andrew Lacy, and the Tapulous development team in Palo Alto, to the company's mobile content group.
