Disney Kills Infinity, Exits Console Video Game Development

The Walt Disney Company is pulling out of developing video games, saying this week that it is ending its Disney Infinity console game business. Disney's Infinity games had tied together a console video game with toys, with interactive figures which changed and added different Disney characters to the Infinity game, modified the environment, added weapons or clothing, and more. Disney said that lower results in the sector led to the move, but did not provide many details behind the move. Disney also did not say how the cancellation impacts the staff at its local Disney Interactive unit.
