Docstoc Launches Synchronization, Personal Doc Storage

Beverly Hills-based Docstoc, a venture backed startup which runs an online document sharing web site, said today that the firm has launched two new features. Docstoc said that it has added a new feature, Docstoc MyDocs, which allows users to store personal documents online. In addition, the firm said it has created a new, download application that will automatically synchronize documents from a user's computer to the site. The new sync software runs on both PCs and Macs; the new document storage service provides unlimited storage for documents. The new features are focused on automatically synchronizing a user's "My Documents" folder to the online site, and allowing users to browse and view those files from anywhere via the Internet. DocStoc is venture backed by Rustic Canyon Partners and others, and landed a $3.25M funding round in April.
