Dollar Shave Club Expands Product Line
Los Angeles-based Dollar Shave Club, is going where no man has gone before: it's launched a new product, called One Wipe Charlies, for, um... wiping. In another humorous, irreverant video, Dollar Shave Club's founder Michael Dubin, pitches the new wipes, saying it's "the softest, fastest, manliest way to wipe your a***". Dollar Shave Club is backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Forerunner Ventures, Venrock, Andreessen Horowitz, and Science Inc. The firm offers up a subscription service which automatically replenishes men with razors; the new wipes are $4 for each package. Dollar Shave Club's launch video became a huge viral hit when it was released last year.
