Donuts Rolls Out 29 New Domains In July

Donuts, the domain name registry company which has an office and operations here in Southern California, said today that it is releasing 29 new generic, top-level domains (gTLDs) this month, the latest in a very large number of gTLDs run by the company. Donuts said the 29 new gTLDs will bring its total to 139 under management. Donuts--which has many ties to local domain name companies, as well as many execs from Demand Media--is based in Washington State. The company reports that it has so far sold 1.3 million new Internet identities using those new gTLDs. Donuts is led by Paul Stahura, who was previously President and Chief Strategy Officer of Demand Media.
