    Dot Hill Announces New Storage Platform


    Carlsbad-based Dot Hill Systems has introduced a new storage system, announcing at Storage Networking World its new Dot Hill 2730 product. The firm said that the new storage device is already shipping at OEMs and system integrators, including DVS, Hammer, Maximum Throughput, Onstor, and Stratus Technologies. The firm's new product provides 4Gb Fibre Channel connections to Serial-ATA and Serial Attached SCSI disk drives, with up to 56 drives, performance of up to 1.1GB per second on streaming reads, and snapshot capability.
