DTS Buys Image Restoration Firm For $11M
Agoura Hills-based Digital Theater Systems (DTS) said this morning that it is acquiring Burbank-based Lowry Digital Images, an digital image restoration and enhancement firm. The company said that the acquisition will help DTS to support its efforts in content creation and delivery in theatrical and consumer markets. Lowry restores and enhances film and digital moving pictures, using proprietary image processing algorithms. DTS said that it paid $11.0M in cash for Lowry, and expects $10M in revenues for 2005.
