Calabasas-based audio processing technology developer DTS has tied with IP video deliver firm RGB Networks, to supply its audio technology into RGB's products, the two said Thursday. The two said that RGB Networks will implement DTS technologies initially in its TransAct Encoder/Transcoder, a device used to distribute high definition audio across consumers' portable devices and set-top boxes. Financial impact of the deal was not announced. The two said that RGB Networks is using DTS in part to meet the legal requirements of the Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation (CALM) Act, to control content loudness particularly with commercials.
