DTS Wins Trademark Infringement Lawsuit

Agoura Hills-based DTS (Digital Theater Systems) said yesterday that the company has obtained a settlement in a trademark infringement lawsuit it brought against Mintek Digital, for distributing DVD players claiming DTS features without obtaining a license from DTS. The case was to proceed to trial on the issue of damages, however DTS obtained an out of court settlement from Mintek. DTS said that it is aggressively looking to pursue companies which are using its trademarks without license.
