Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Ramps Outreach To Small Businesses

Los Angeles-based Dun and Bradstreet Credibility Corp., the provider of business credit information which was acquired last year in a private equity deal, and shifted to Malibu, looks to be ramping its outreach to small businesses. The firm--previously a staid, hundreds year old company which had been plodding along as a nondescript credit rating service for business-to-businss finance types--said Monday that it has launched a new "small business starter" kit for its services. The new package now helps small businesses get their companies listed on web sites and in the search engines. The company is run by Jeffrey M. Stibel, the former CEO of and former GM at United Online, with backing of private equity firm Great Hill Partners. Dun and Bradstreet Credibility said the new package includes both establishment of a D&B credit file, and ways to promote themselves on the web.
