    EA, Spielberg Team Up

Electronic Arts and Steven Spielberg said this morning that Spielberg is teaming up with the videogame developer to create three new titles. Spielberg will work directly with EA to develop stories, concepts, designs, and artistic visualization on the new titles, to be published worldwide by EA. The team will be based at EA's development site in Playa Vista in Los Angeles. Spielberg credited the move with the game industry's growth from a niche to a "major creative force in entertainment". Terms were not disclosed. EA said that the mission of its Los Angeles development center is to be the definitive creative destination for game makers and game development in Southern California.
