    EDSA Micro Corp Acquired By Private Equity Firm


    San Diego-based EDSA Micro Corp., which develops software for designing, testing, and diagnosing electrical power systems, announced Wednesday afternoon that majority ownership of the firm has been acquired by Digital Power Capital, an affiliate of private equity firm Wexford Capital LLC. Financial terms of the deal was not disclosed. Digital Power Capital was a minority investor in the firm. EDSA Micro said that Marc A. Ascolese of Digital Powre Capital will assume the position of Chairman and CEO of the company. EDSA Micro said current Chairman and CEO Ali Nasle will remain with the firm in a senior advisory capacity.
