eEye Upgrades Security Software

Aliso Viejo-based eEye Digital Security has shipped its latest upgrade to its Retina line of network security software. The company's 5.2 version of the software adds SSH tunneling support to connect to non-Windows devices and an automated software update tool. The new SSH support is targeted at allowing customers to better manage Linux, Unix, and Cisco network devices. eEye's software scans for security vulnerabilities in corporate networks. eEye is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners and Insight Venture Partners.
