    EMachines Employees Get Huge Bonus

Irvine-based eMachines (www.emachines.com) owner Lap Shun "John" Hui has distributed more than half of his profits from the $290M sale of eMachines to Gateway to his employees, according to the Associated Press. Hui apparently gave his employees bonus check worth at least 30 percent of their salaries. The move is not unprecedented, if unusual. Neighboring Kingston Technology founders did a similar thing a few years ago when the company was sold.
