eMachines Rolls Out New Desktop PCs, Displays

Irvine-based Gateway has rolled out a new line of desktop PCs and displays in its eMachines brand, saying Friday morning that it will offer new, value-priced PCs based on AMD Athlon and Sempron procesors. The new PCs start at $319.99 after a $50 mail in rebate; the new displays start at $99.99. The PC makers three new PCs run Windows Vista Home Premium or Home Basic, include DVD+/-R/RW drives, and Microsoft Works. eMachines is the value-brand of Gateway, which it distributes through retailers.
