Enevate Finds $30M For Battery Technology

Irvine-based Enevate, which is developing Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology, said this morning that it has raised $30M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Infinite Potential Technologies, Tsing Capital and Mission Ventures along with Presidio Ventures. Enevate, led by Brian Wong, is developing Li-iion batteries which the company says have "significantly higher" energy density than existing batteries. The company said the funding will go towards further developing its technology and products, and taking those products into high volume, mass production. More information »
