    Enterprise Partners Buys Muze

San Diego-based Enterprise Partners Venture Capital said yesterday that it has acquired Muze, a New York-based provider of electronic meta-data and related databases for music, books, videos and games. The companies said that the acquisition would allow Muze to more aggressively expand the use of the Muze database for the management and retailing of digital content. Muze customers include Ebay, Yahoo!/MusicMatch, Borders Books, RealNetworks, BestBuy and Overstock.com, who use the company's data to market their products. Muze was angel funded by John W. Kluge and Metromedia. Terms were not disclosed. William Stensrud and Carl Eibl of EPVC will join the company's board.
