EQAL Acquired By Everyday Health

Los Angeles-based EQAL, the digital media and content developer founded by Miles Beckett and Greg Goodfried, has been acquired by Everyday Health, Everyday Health said this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Everyday Health said that EQAL will be integrated into its Lifestyle Division, and will remain headquartered in Los Angeles, headed by Beckett and Goodfried. EQAL--which came onto the scene with lonelygirl15--has since been managing digital media properties for brand and celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Bethenny Frankel and Lauren Conrad. EQAL had been backed by Spark Capital, Conrad Riggs, Ron Conway, Marc Andreessen, and Georges Harik, among others.
