Esri Rolls Out Climate Change Maps

Interested in seeing the wide ranging--and scary--impact of human caused climate change? Redlands-based geographical information systems provider Esri has rolled out a highly visual, stunning collection of maps called the Atlas for a Changing Planet Story Map, illustrating the impacts of climate change on the earth. Esri said its interactive maps illustrate the earth's natural and human systems and how they have changed, and will change, over time. Esri CEO and founder Jack Dangermond said the company launched the maps to help scientists, policy makers, planners, and activists examine information critical to adapting to a warmer future, to help take the first step in measuring the threat of climate change and making informed decisions to reduce it.
