Evolution RoboticsRetail Revs LaneHawk
Pasadena-based Evolution Robotics Retail, the retail arm of Idealab's robotics technology firm, said today that it has released a new version of the firm's LaneHawk Visual Scanner product. The firm said that the product, which is used for checking the bottom of grocery shopping carts, is now available for Windows Server 2003 Server. The software was previously available on Linux. LaneHawk is used by retailers to scan for products on the bottom of shopping carts, and uses vision recognition technology developed by the firm to automatically scan those items.
