Eyespot Targets Video Publishers
San Diego-based Eyespot said Thursday that it has rolled out a new offering targeted at online video publishers. Eyespot, which develops online video editing and remixing software, said that it will make its technology available to any publisher interested in its services. Eyespot--which has grabbed funding from Express Ventures and Gabriel Venture Partners--said the new self-serve Eyespot Personalization Suite will allow any web publisher to sign up and have interactive online video running within hours. Eyespot had previously provided its technology via agreements with publishers such as Fox Interactive Media, Lucasfilm's StarWars.com site, and others. The new service is available in both free and monthly subscription offerings; the free service is offset by tapping into online video advertising from Google AdSense for Video, Tremor Media, and adap.tv.
