    Fabrik Gets $24.9M

Fabrik, a San Mateo-based firm that provides storage and content management services, has raised $24.9M in a Series D funding. The company, which maintains offices in Santa Ana, said that the funding came from 3i and ComVentures. Fabrik owns SimpleTech, a hardware brand that sells flash memory, USB flash drives, and memory upgrades, which it purchased from STEC (formerly SimpleTech) last year in a $43M deal. The firm said that the funding will go towards expanding in U.S. and international markets.
