Santa Monica-based Factual, the data startup run by Applied Semantics founder Gil Elbaz, said Friday afternoon that it has launched a new set of tools which allows publishers and developers to visualization its data sets. The firm--which publishes big, publicly curated data sets--said its tools allow publishers and developers to create their own visual representation of its data, making it easier to view, search, map, and edit that data. The new visualization feature allows users to access templated HTML and CSS code, and cut and paste that onto any site. Among visualizations available from the site, are data on U.S. restaurants, hiking trails, and video games. Applied Semantics was the original developer of what is now Google AdSense.
