Los Angeles-based FairPlay says it has launched a new product, aimed at bias detection in the insurance industry. According to the company, its new product, Input Intelligence, will help insurance companies review their data for bias, ensuring they are not proxies for protected characteristics such as race or gender. The company said the solution will help insurance companies make sure they are reaching historically disadvantaged groups, and meeting growing consumer and regulatory demands for greater fairness in insurance. Pricing on the new product was not announced.
