Fastpoint Games Seeks Buyer, Winds Down Site

Los Angeles-baaed Fastpoint Games, the online fantasy game development shop headed by Kelly Perdew, is winding down its website, according to a notice on the firm's site, and is now looking for a buyer. According to the notice on the site, the firm is "winding down" all of its Fastpoint Games branded fantasy sports games over the next 45 days. Fastpoint CEO Kelly Perdew says the company still has 7 employees, who are working on supporting its major clients, Major League Soccer and FireLeague, both of whom have Fastpoint developed games still in operation. Perdew also says the company is in discussions with potential acquirers, and is hoping to conclude a transaction by the end of the year. Fastpoint had been venture backed by Mission Ventures and DFJ Dragon Fund, Allen & Co. and SCP Worldwide, and last raised funding in 2009, raising a total of $10M in funding. The company was originally known as Rotohog. Perdew is well known for his prior role on The Apprentice.
