Westlake Village-based FavRav is hoping to leverage the popularity of social networking site Facebook to help local businesses find new customers. According to FavRav, it has launched a new social media tool targeted at small businesses, to help those businesses generate referrals from existing customers. The tool--which costs $29 a month--posts business referrals on users' Facebook Wall and allows businesses to distribute promotions via Facebook users. The firm was founded by Taher Scherzay and Bill Manos.
