Santa Ana-based First American, a provider of business information, said today it has acquired Proxix Solutions, a provider of geospatial information for the insurance, mortgage, and other industries. Financial terms were not disclosed. First American said that Proxix will be integrated into a new, Austin, Texas-based division for the firm, First American Spatial Solutions. First American provides title services, insurance data, insurance, and other related services. Proxix was based in Palm Harbor, Florida.
