Fisker Automotive Co-Founder, Henrik Fisker, Resigns

Things look to be going further downhill over at Anaheim-based Fisker Automotive today, on reports that co-founder (and namesake) Henrik Fisker has resigned from the designer of plug-in hybrid automobiles. Businessweek reports that Fisker resigned over a disagreement with the company's other executives, and says it confirmed the resignation with the company.

The news couldn't come at worst time for the hybrid electric auto maker, which already has been looking for an investor to help fund operations at the company, and reportedly has also stopped building automobiles due to lack of batteries from now-defunct A123 Systems. The firm had set a deadline of the end of this month to find a buyer. No details on what the disagreement between Fisker and the company's executives have yet emerged.
