Fisker Automotive Starts Hiring In Delaware

Irvine-based Fisker Automotive announced today that it has started hiring at its Wilmington, Delaware manufacturing plant. Fisker said it will be hiring around 120 employees, part of an initial group at the site, which will include engineering staff, electro-mechanical technicians, and early teams of production workers for its Project Nina vehicle. Fisker said the new jobs in Delaware comes on top of aggressive hiring at its Anaheim headquarters, where it says it aims to have 300 people by the end of the month; the firm said its staff went from 50 staff in January of 2010 to 200 in January of 2011. Fisker acquired its Delaware plant from GM back in October of 2009, using funding from a Department of Energy loan.
