Fonality: Rapid Growth, Doubling In Sales

Culver City-based Fonality, which develops business phone systems based on open source software, is claiming today that it has seen "rapid growth" in the first half of the year, and has doubled its customer sales compared to the prior year. Actual financials from the privately held firm were not disclosed. The firm attributed the growth to new product enhancements, corporate expansion, and increased customer sign-ups. Fonality's products are targeted at small, medium-sized, and enterprise customers, and provides PBX capability and related services. The firm is venture backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Intel Capital, and Azure Capital Partners, and was founded in 2004.
