    Fonality Scores Win At BLADE

Los Angeles-based Fonality, the developer of an open source PBX software package based on the popular Asterisk PBX project, announced late Thursday that its product has been selected by BLADE Network Technologies. Fonality said that BLADE, which was a former subsidiary of Nortel, selected the company's PBX software over Nortel's own PBX systems. Size of the deal was not disclosed. Fonality develops PBXtra, a modified version of the Asterisk PBX platform. Asterisk is an open-source software package that turns a standard PC into a full featured business PBX.
