    Fonality Trumpets Deployment Numbers

Los Angeles-based Fonality is trumpeting its deployment numbers, claiming that it now has the largest commercial deployment of Asterisk, the open source IP PBX. Fonality said that more than 1,000 SMBs, with a total of 15,000 employees, have deployed its PBXtra product. Fonality said that it has extended the open source Asterisk product far beyond its base feature set, and provided 24-hour support and stability to the popular software. Fonality's software replaces expensive custom PBX hardware with a PC- and software-based appliance.
