Former Hulu Head Kilar's New Company, Vessel, Gets Funding

Vessel, a new startup founded by former Hulu CEO Jason Kilar and CTO Richard Tom, has raised a round of funding from Benchmark Capital, Greylock Partners, and Bezos Expeditions. Benchmark's Bill Gurley and Greylock's David Sze have both joined the company's board as part of the funding. Vessel is in stealth mode, and has not said anything about what it is developing. It's unclear how much of the company is in Los Angeles, although the company's executive team apparently includes a number of former Hulu executives in addition to Kilar and Tom; it appears Kilar and Tom are now up in San Francisco.
