Former Oversee Founder Lawrence Ng Links Up With Metamorphic Ventures

Lawrence Ng, the former founder of is now running an asset management company called LNG Management--has linked up with New York City-based venture capital firm Metamorphic Ventures. According to LNG Management, Ng has become an advisory board member for Metamorphic Ventures. LNG said that Ng is incubating a number of startups and selectively invests in early stage startups and funds. It's unclear how much the relationship will result in investments by Metamorphic Ventures in Los Angeles area startups. Ng founded at the age of 21, and led the company as CEO until 2008; he cashed out of the company after a $150M investment by Oak Hill in 2008, according to LNG. Metamorphic Ventures does not appear to have any current, Southern California investments, although one of its bigger exits--of ad technology company Chango--came thanks to LA's Rubicon Project.
