Fox Interactive Media Acquires Photobucket, Flektor

Los Angeles-based Fox Interactive Media announced today that it has acquired Denver, Colorado-based Photobucket and Culver City-based Flektor. Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed. Photobucket is a popular online photo and video sharing service that allows users to upload and post photos to web sites like MySpace; Flektor provides Web-based tools for creating slideshows, postcards, and video mash-ups. FIM said that Photobucket is expected to remain as a standalone site. Fox Interactive Media is a division of News Corporation, and operates MySpace, IGN Entertainment, and other sites.
