Fuhu Rolls Out Star Wars Themed Tablet

El Segundo-based Fuhu, the Android tablet maker which develops the popular Nabi tablet for kids, said this morning that it has rolled out a new set of Star Wars themed tablets. Fuhu said it has launched two, special edition tablets based on Star Wars, called The Force, available in two versions related the "Dark Side" and "Light Side", which are themed with sound effects and wallpaper, as well as external case colors. Fuhu said The Force Star Wars accessory bundles will be available initially at Best Buy. The tablets have a suggested retail price of $169.99. Fuhu--led by Jim Mitchell--has quietly grown to be one of the fastest growing, tech-related companies in Southern California, and was ranked No. 1 Fastest Growing Private Company in the Inc. 500 | 5000. The company, founded by Robb Fujioka, and Steve and John Hui, had revenues of $195.6M in 2013, and on the Inc. 500 list had seen 3-year growth of 158,957%, and reportely has been eyeing an IPO.
