Dot Hill Buys Storage Controller Company for $72M

Carlsbad-based Dot Hill Systems (www.dothill.com) has purchased Colorado-based Chaparral Network Storage for $72M in cash and assumption of debt. The move brings in disk controller technology, providing Dot Hill with in-house technology for its next generation products. Dot Hill has been using third party disk array controllers and did not develop its own technology.
