    Microfabrica Improves Micromanufacturing Process

Burbank-based Microfabrica said that it has improved the company's microfabrication capability with a new ability to manufacture structures from 2 to 50 microns. The improved ability to develop three-dimensional microdevices allows designers to build taller devices and systems using Microfabrica's capabilities. The new improvement is expected to enable better injet printhead nozzles, inertial measurement units, magnetic microsystems, and more. The company said the technique is expected to significantly lower cost of microfabricated devices, which are now commonly used in sensor technology.
