DivXNetworks Upgrades Mac Product Line

San Diego-based DivXNetworks has announced an upgraded version of its video compression software for the Mac. The company's DivX for Mac 5.2 product line adds easier creation of DivX files; an MP3 encoder for audio encoding; and the ability to create DivX video files for playback on any DivX consumer electornics device. DivX offers video encoding software and decompression technology that is now being incorporated into commercial devices. The company's format provides a high level of compression for video.
