Los Angeles-based j2 Global Communications and Advanta Corp. announced that the two companies have joined together in a marketing alliance. Advanta, which issues business credit cards, will market j2 Global's fax-to-email service to its customers. Advanta's customers will get six months of discounted service for j2's eFax Plus service, which provides a local number and direct delivery of faxes to a customer's email account. Advanta is one of the nation's largest issuers of MasterCard business credit cards to small businesses.
