    Fastclick Raises $75M

Santa Barbara-based Fastclick announced this morning that it has raised a gigantic $75M Series A from Highland Capital Partners, Oak Investment Partners, and Steamboat Ventures. Fastclick provides online, keyword-based advertising and services for online advertisers. The round of funding is the area's largest funding round to date this year, and dwarfs the half a dozen giant biotech deals from earlier this year. The funding is also unusual as the company was bootstrapped without venture capital, and has reportedly been profitable for some time. Bob Davis and Dan Nova from Highland will join the company's board. Steamboat Ventures is the venture capital arm of The Walt Disney Company.
