Vitesse Ships Integrated GigE Switch

Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor (www.vitesse.com) announced that it has shipped a new, fully integrated system-on-a-chip for Gigabit Ethernet Layer 2 switches. The company's new SparX Series Switches are used by manufacturers to develop Gigabit Ethernet switches. The company is targeting small office/home office, small and medium business, and consumer wireless and DSL equipment manufacturers.
