    IOGEAR Ships Slim Hard Drive

Irvine-based IOGEAR announced that it has shipped a 1.8" USB 2.0 external hard drive. The company's ION hard drives are targeted at consumers looking to store documents, pictures, music and video. The devices support USB 2.0 and FireWire, include the Dantz retrospect backup software as a bundle, and support up to 40GB of storage. The company said that the small size makes the new drives ideal for travelers.
