    Sonos Ships Wireless Music System

Santa Barbara-based Sonos announced this morning that it has begun shipping its Sonos Digital Music System, an unique multi-zone music system which allows consumers to play digital music anywhere in their homes. The system taps into a user's digital music collection, on up to 16 PCs, and wirelessly transmits it to its networked audio player. The system supports MP3, WMA, MPEG4, and WAV files stores on PCs, Mac, or Network Attached Storage (NAS), and also allows users to play the same or different songs in up to 32 rooms of a home. The Santa Barbara-based, angel funded startup is targeting users with large digital music libraries.
